You either love or hate this place...there is no in between. I personally think that Mi Casa is awful. Their food lacks any real flavor and to mask that fact they simply put boat loads of cheese on top of everything. The last time I ate at Mi Casa it made my stomach queasy and I vowed to never return to the Cheese Factory.

The food is bland at best....and cheese, cheese everywhere. Sunday afternoon visit....we were welcomed by a very RUDE owner, rude waitresses and rude bar tender....old, random drunk locals that were very unfriendly in bar. (Burro Room.....a good name with a perfect meaning for this place!)

If bland is your thing, then you will love Mi Casa. The entree, beans and rice were so lacking in flavor that this place makes Taco Bell look like the bastion of Mexican authenticity. My enchiladas were microwaved at 10 for so long that they were nearly liquefied as they floated around my plate in a soupy mess with the equally liquid beans and dried out popcorn rice. The chips and salsa were so bland that Tostitos and Pace Picante would have outshone them. Service was perfunctory and the crowd that was in here were very white bread with a bunch of screaming kids crawling around under tables and rubbing their sticky hands all over the seats of neighboring tables. That right there should give you some idea as to the quality of the food. There is so little regard for flavors and texture of Mexican cuisine in this place that I wonder what the owners are thinking in operating this establishment. With so many Mexican restaurants from which to choose in Orange County, there is truly no point whatsoever in wasting your time with Mi Casa.

I've been going to Mi Casa for a few years now and have had nothing but exceptional service. Their carne asada plate is absolutely amazing. Most of their servers are nice, attentive and really on top of things, except for one. She is a mono-toned, slow and rude server. It took her 15 minutes to take our drink order. Another 20 minutes to get the drinks to us. She put my order in wrong, and proceed to blame me for it. Telling me that I did not say my order clearly. It took almost 40 minutes for us to get our food. I wish we were able to leave, but we live over 45 minutes away and make special trips out there for their excellent service and food. If I were to get that server again, I would ask to move.

Mi Casa has wonderful food! My favorite is their cheese enchiladas and the margaritas on the rocks are to die for! Everytime I've been there (and it's been many) I have always received EXCELLENT service.
